BioI'm a creative type, a Zen Buddhist, and a stay at home Dad with one son (more to come!). I started this journal to foster openness in my life, at the end of a long period of being quite closed off.
Here's a poem I titled "Afterlife". I'm not sure it needed a title, but that sort of thing seems to annoy some people who like little boxes to put things in.
When I'm long dead
dig up my grave
use my skull as a water vessel
and my long thigh bones
for the corner posts of a new house
and sing to the rafters
and laugh unseeing
at that old crack
in my ribs
